Went for a walk in South Harris yesterday afternoon in a spell of fresh February weather, before dropping in to the consistently good Skoon Art Cafe for soup, cake and coffee.

Pleasant low leve walk with lots of interesting ruins, not least this small stone hut. Its size (about 6ft at the ridge) and its position alongside The Scholars’ Path above Stocinis leads me to believe it was built by caring parents as a shelter for their children. Anyone know any different?
